I am revising my novel from the ground up.

It now has a completely different tone than the previous draft. A tone I am certain fits with what I am trying to say with the work. A tone which might get this thing published.

I had to scratch away entire chapters, weed out characters, and fine-tune MC’s motivations. This is what happens when you write on-and-off, over the course of four years.

Even this revision will be, in a sense, a first draft which would require more edits.

But this time wouldn’t be as painful. This time, it could go all the way.
